Why Does the Price Differ for the Same Sized Hay Net?
When browsing our hay nets, you may have started at a lower advertised price, then found that the price changed once you selected a specific hole size. This can look like a pricing error or misleading advertising, especially if you were planning to buy multiple nets at the price you first saw. It isn't an error, each individual hay net size offers a range of 4 - 5 different mesh hole sizes.
You may notice that hay nets of the same overall size are priced differently depending on the hole size you select. This is not an error and is not related to advertising a lower price to draw you in, it comes down to the amount of material used to make each net.

(Please note the examples above are from our Aus website)
How Hole Size Affects Price
Slow feed hay nets are made using a knotless and knotted netting material. The smaller the hole size, the more netting material is required per square metre to construct the net.
- Larger hole sizes use less material per square metre, so these nets are priced lower.
- Smaller hole sizes use more material per square metre, so these nets are priced higher.
This means that within the same net size (for example, a Medium or Large hay net), the price will increase as you move from larger holes to smaller holes.
