Filling a Medium GutzBusta® Hay NetUpdated 2 months ago
If you have 2 Mediums nets:
With your 2 mediums and 1 small bale of hay you can fill your mediums quickly, by simply putting your bale up on its end and then pull the one net down over the bale towards the middle of the bale. (If using 1 medium, pull net over half the bale, then lay it back down and cut the strings to release hay). To fill 2 Mediums, flip the bale over and then repeat from the other end of the bale. Then lay the bale flat side down on the ground so you have both strings of the bale facing up to you. Open up a gap between both end of the nets at their drawstring edge to give you clear access to both twine strings on your hay bale before cutting the string. Once you have opened up a good gap between the 2 nets and have access to the twine strings, carefully cut the strings.
This effectively fills both nets.
Grab and pull out the baling twine strings, flip each filled net up and pull the drawstring of one hay net. Then flip up the other hay net with hay inside and pull up the drawstring. Your 2 GutzBusta® Medium Hay Nets are then full, quickly and easily. You can then hang your hay net up, or if you want to throw it on the ground (only for unshod and regularly trimmed horses) then simply tie a simple knot at the base of the net, then untie the existing knot at the end of the drawstring. This then leaves the drawstring loose and free and unable to get caught up in feet and legs.
Because our hay nets are a square-holed pattern and not diamond, it doesn’t matter if you have 1 biscuit of hay or the hay net is chock full of hay. Either way your horse can eat out of the hay net as the holes don’t collapse down on each other like the diamond pattern hay nets do.
Our Medium hay nets are available in both knotted and knotless styles.
